Just as Daniel, I have also played Mario games since my infancy; Super Mario bros is the reason that I, just like probably thousands of you are gamers right now. This is the game that revived this industry and is the reason of joy for thousands of families. Daniel is correct, if you want to pay tribute to this game, then you ought to make it perfect, one slight mistake in the way that Mario jumps, walks, runs or how the sound effects are and the whole experience is lost.
like Daniel said, there are many remakes out there where the experience is lost, the controls are not precise enough or the jump is not the same. Then there are the ones that modify the levels making it almost a new experience, like asshole Mario. And then there is SMB Crossover, which to me is an extremely good remake on every count, including the mechanics for each of the iconic game characters that it host.
If you are wondering why we decided to make a remake, then let me tell you that is not a remake. Yes it going to be Mario with the same levels, but we will implement new mechanics that will make the experience more challenging and fun for new and old players.
Lastly let me tell you what my main task is. I am going to take x number of Mario levels and I am going to implement new design elements to make the experience feel like a new one.

My First task
I have been playing Mario Bros since the day I was born, no matter what new platform came out I would always find time to enjoy playing mario on my NES system. And there are probably thousands of fans just like me out there, and as one of those fans I always look at games that try to recreate this wonderful game with very critical eyes. For me the jump needs to be exactly the same, as well as all the other controls, there is no mercy, if it is not perfect I don't like it.
having said that I must admit 99% of the time I refuse to play these remakes. Obviously you must be wondering what that 1% is, and there is no denying that SMB Crossover did a wonderful job at doing it. It wasn't perfect, but it definitelly added something new and interesting to the game.
Many of you might also be wondering why make another remake, there are probably 1000's of those out there, and my answer to that is that this is not a remake, this will try to show fans all around the world how we can add refreshing ideas into old levels to make them more challenging and pretty fun at the same time.
If for any reason you are still reading this, let me finally say what my task is, My goal is to try and recreate as closely as possible a jump in mario, as well as a run and a bouce, I will strongly analyze every detail of the game to give the user as close feedback as possible.

Welcome
Welcome to the development Blog of Super Mario Bros: Back in Time,
The idea of this project is to take the all time best game (in my opinion) and introduce a bit of a twist that both old time fans would love as well as young and more recent fans.
This Blog will be used to discuss all aspects of the design and development of the project, here you will be able to see how our brains work.
This project will be developed by:
Arnaldo Mendez and Daniel Bahamon
Thank you for visiting the blog and I hope you enjoy it.
